India International Jewellery Week is about to launch

Gold jewellery will among the items on show at the first India International Jewellery Week later this month.The event - which has been organised by the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) - will run from August 15th to 19th at the Hotel Grand Hyatt in Mumbai http://radiologydegreeonline.net/mri-technicians-associates/.A host of jewellers from across India will be in attendance, with shows by the likes of Gitanjali Lifestyle, Amrapali and Tanishq set to take place.Other designers that will feature at India International Jewellery Week include Farah Khan Ali, Varuna D Jani, Bina Goenka and Rhea Nasta.Jewellery of all types will be on display, including several gold collections. Buyers from around the world are expected to attend.Vasant Mehta, chairman of the GJEPC, said next year’s event will have more of an international flavour in order to boost exports.”We hope to double our export figures in the next five years,” he said, adding: “We hope it will be a trendsetter where other jewellery associations across the world will create their own jewellery weeks.”Gold jewellery is particularly popular in India as it has been used for centuries as a traditional wedding and festival gift.
