Oneindia reports on the gold jewellery of Bina Goenka, part of an exhibition in Ludhiana.The collection is said to be centred on pieces such as gold necklaces, chunky bracelets and armlets geology masters degree programs.While the chunkier pieces may be heavier, the designer claims that the range is intended to be worn and offers comfort to those who put it on."The jewellery is very light and is very comfortable too in wearing," she tells the news provider.As is often the case with gold jewellery collections, Ms Goenka's inspiration for her designs is drawn in part from the natural environment.In particular, her latest series honours Gaia - the Mother Earth - and both plant and animal lifeforms.Birds and beasts, trees, branches and leaves all appear among the motifs that are used in the jewellery, Oneindia reports.Ms Goenka's first flagship jewellery boutique was opened in October 2007 in Mumbai.
